    Biography

    Muhammet Esat Gündoğdu graduated from the Department of Business Administration and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Finance and Participation Banking at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

    He began his professional career at Albaraka Türk Participation Bank, where he gained hands-on experience across commercial and SME banking functions, progressing from portfolio management to regional-level responsibilities.

    Between 2017 and 2019, he served in a Commercial & SME Portfolio Management role, managing client relationships and contributing to business development at the branch level. He later took on a regional position as a Sales Coach, supporting performance management and sales structuring across Istanbul Europe and Central Anatolia regions.

    In 2022, he joined the Cumhurbaşkanlığı Finans Ofisi within the Participation Finance Department. As a Strategy-Oriented Project Manager, he contributed to the development of Türkiye’s “Participation Finance Strategy Document” and played an active role in the implementation and monitoring of its strategic actions.

    Following his public sector experience, he transitioned into the private sector in 2025.

    He currently serves as Business Development Director at Bosphorus Advisory, where he leads business development and strategic advisory initiatives. His work focuses on structuring finance-driven solutions, supporting corporate transformation processes, and connecting investors with scalable business opportunities.

    Güner YÜCE

    Business Partner

    Biography

    He was born in 1974 in Reşadiye, Tokat. He completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1997. While continuing his professional career, he also graduated from the Justice Program of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at Marmara University Banking and Insurance Institute, Department of Banking, and holds an SPY-2 License.

    He began his career during his university years in the private sector as a finance and accounting officer. Following approximately two years of experience in the real sector, he worked between 1998 and 2011 at Asya Finans Kurumu, where he held various roles including Project Marketing, Financial Analysis and Intelligence, Credit Allocation, Commercial and Corporate Marketing, as well as Branch Manager positions in Konya and Kadıköy. Throughout this period, he undertook responsibilities in marketing, financial analysis, intelligence, and credit allocation across different levels, including specialist, manager, and branch manager roles.

    He returned to the banking sector in 2015 and served at Asya Katılım Bankası A.Ş. (under the administration of TMSF) as Anatolian Corporate Branch Manager and Banking Services Manager. His role under TMSF concluded at the end of 2017, following the bank’s entry into liquidation.

    Between 2018 and 2023, he held executive management positions, as well as independent executive and supervisory board memberships, in various companies operating in the energy, construction, textile, food, and industrial cable sectors. During this period, he managed public procurement processes (within the scope of Public Procurement Law No. 4734), supervised progress payment–cost balance and cash flow management, oversaw financial statements and financial structures, and ensured the execution of large-scale procurement of goods and services. He also managed export and import operations, as well as all banking transactions, including cash and non-cash credit processes such as letters of credit and guarantee letters. In addition, he led the restructuring of corporate organizational frameworks, identified new investment areas, and directed sector analysis and investment planning processes. He also prepared selected company valuation reports and took an active role in partnership separations and company acquisitions and disposals.

    As of 2026, he has joined Bosphorus Advisory as a Business Partner, where he provides advisory services to the private sector in the areas of finance, investment, and corporate governance.

    Ahmed RAZA

    Market Intelligence Advisor

    Biography

    Ahmed Raza holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Finance from Aston University, equipping him with a strong academic foundation in economic analysis and financial strategy.

    He began his professional career in 2023 at IFAAS, a global advisory firm specialising in Islamic finance. Over the course of his tenure, he progressed from Associate to Business Development Manager, gaining extensive experience in client engagement, proposal development, and strategic advisory across diverse markets.

    During his time at IFAAS, he has been actively involved in supporting financial institutions, corporates, and government-related entities on a range of mandates, including market entry strategies, product development, and structuring İslamic finance solutions. His role has also encompassed leading business development initiatives, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s growth across multiple jurisdictions.

    In 2025, he joined Bosphorus Advisory from its inception as a Market Intelligence Advisor. In this capacity, he focuses on delivering market insights, supporting strategic positioning, and advising on cross-border opportunities. His work includes foreign financial pairing, facilitating connections between international investors and local opportunities, and contributing to the development of tailored advisory solutions for clients.

    He currently plays a key role in strengthening Bosphorus Advisory’s market intelligence capabilities, supporting business development efforts, and enabling clients to navigate complex financial landscapes with informed, data-driven strategies.

    Ali COŞKUN

    Business Partner

    Biography

    Ali Coşkun was born in 1973 in Fatsa, Ordu. He graduated from the Department of Public Finance at Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in 1994, and completed his master’s degree in International Finance and Participation Banking at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University in 2014.

    He began his professional career in 1996 as a bank teller at Pamukbank A.Ş., where he worked for one year. He then worked for eight months in the Credit Monitoring Department at İhlas Finance Institution Inc. Between 1998 and 2005, he served as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Analysis and Intelligence Department at Vakıfbank T.A.O.

    In April 2005, he joined Türkiye Finans Participation Bank Inc. at the Merter Branch as an Assistant Manager and worked in Corporate Marketing for four years. Following this period, he transitioned into a Branch Manager role, serving for a total of 13 years at the Istanbul Güngören, Avcılar, Giyimkent, and Levent Sanayi branches.

    At the beginning of 2021, he voluntarily concluded his 24-year banking career, including 13 years as a Branch Manager.

    Throughout his banking career, he conducted thousands of company visits across various sectors, analyzed financial statements, assessed creditworthiness, managed lending processes, and effectively controlled branch risk.

    While witnessing companies that achieved significant success starting from scratch, he also closely observed many companies that reached peak levels but later faced financial distress, entered concordat, or went bankrupt.

    During this period, he held one-on-one meetings with prominent business people and gained valuable insights into investment preferences, business practices, and success stories. He also developed deep expertise in the causes of financial distress in companies. In particular, he gained strong expertise in the impact of errors in production, human resources, sales, marketing, accounting, finance, and management; incorrect investment decisions; deficiencies in risk and crisis management; and institutionalization challenges.

    In 2021, he transitioned to the real sector and worked as a Finance Director for approximately five years at a company engaged in 100% exports.

    In 2023, he obtained the title of Concordat Commissioner. He is also a member of FOYDER (Financial Restructuring Association).

    He currently provides financial management and advisory services and delivers training on financial analysis and financial assessment to individuals and companies.

    He holds Credit Rating and Corporate Governance Rating licenses issued by the Capital Markets Board (CMB).

    Ayvaz YOZGAT

    Biography

    Ayvaz Yozgat holds a degree in Economics from Anadolu University and has held senior executive positions for many years in the fields of strategic financial management, banking, and corporate governance.

    He began his professional career at Garanti Bank, working in commercial banking and taking part in pilot branch implementations and business process reengineering initiatives as part of the McKinsey BPR project.

    Between 2005 and 2016, he served as Branch Manager and Regional Manager at Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası, where he managed the credit allocation, marketing, and operational processes of 35 branches. During this period, he also played an active role in transformation projects conducted with McKinsey & Company.

    Between 2018 and 2020, he worked at PTT A.Ş. as Senior Banking Advisor and Istanbul Sales and Marketing Director, providing strategic advisory services as part of the Posta Katılım Bankası Working Group.

    Between 2021 and 2022, he served as General Manager at Hedef Evim A.Ş., where he led the company’s strategic planning and operational management processes and developed performance-based sales models and the corporate organizational structure.

    Between 2022 and 2024, he worked as Group Finance Director at Sur Yapı A.Ş., managing budgeting, bank loans, and project finance processes, and developing growth strategies aligned with changing market conditions.

    As of June 2024, he continues his work in the fields of education, management, marketing, and financial advisory.

    Muhsin GÜNYELİ

    Biography

    Muhsin GÜNYELİ graduated from the Department of International Relations at Istanbul University in 2000.

    GÜNYELİ began his professional career in auditing and worked as an auditor and manager at international audit firms between 2001 and 2011.

    Between 2011 and 2017, he held positions as Audit Manager and Managing Partner at various sworn-in certified public accountant and independent audit firms.

    As of 2018, he has been continuing his professional practice by establishing his own sworn-in CPA firm. In addition, he carries out independent audit activities as the Responsible Partner Chief Auditor at the independent audit firm of which he is a partner.

    GÜNYELİ has extensive experience and expertise across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, trade, tourism, education, construction, textiles, sports activities, and healthcare. He also has comprehensive knowledge of the functioning and regulatory framework of non-governmental organizations.

    He is currently working together with Bosphorus Advisory, contributing to audit and financial advisory processes, with a focus on strengthening companies’ financial structures and improving audit and compliance frameworks.

    Doç. Dr. Vedat ARI

    Business Partner

    Biography

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vedat Arı is a strategic management consultant and academic with over 25 years of experience spanning engineering, executive leadership, and business transformation. By combining his technical background with management discipline, he develops holistic solutions to support companies in achieving efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.

    He built his academic career as a lecturer in Mechatronics, Mechanical, and Automotive Engineering, adopting an approach that integrates engineering disciplines with real-world business applications. He completed his post-doctoral studies at the University of Nevada, USA, gaining an international academic perspective.

    In parallel with his academic career, he held senior executive roles including CEO and General Manager, leading organizational structuring, operational excellence, and the implementation of growth strategies across various industries.

    Throughout his career, he has taken an active role in more than 27 company establishment and development projects across manufacturing, services, and sales & marketing sectors. In addition, he has delivered over 36 consulting projects focusing on process optimization, cost and efficiency improvement, corporate structuring, and performance management systems.

    His project experience includes end-to-end process management and cost optimization in production and industrial environments, as well as the establishment of technical infrastructures such as BOM structures, unit cost analysis systems, and documentation frameworks. On the corporate side, he has led organizational restructuring, the development of project and risk management systems, and the establishment of executive-level decision support mechanisms.

    In addition, he has led projects in sales, marketing, and digital transformation, including CRM integration, customer experience improvement, and the structuring of e-commerce and digital processes. He has also carried out initiatives related to financial reporting, cash flow management, and the establishment of quality control systems.

    Alongside his consulting activities, he delivers trainings and executive mentoring programs on leadership, communication, sales, negotiation, process management, and institutionalization, particularly for family-owned businesses.

    He currently collaborates with Bosphorus Advisory, where he takes an active role in strategic advisory and corporate transformation projects, supporting companies in improving operational efficiency, strengthening management systems, and achieving sustainable growth.
