Biography
Dr. Fahrettin Yahşi was born in 1965 in Fatsa, a district of Ordu, Türkiye. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Business Administration at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences. In addition, he obtained degrees from the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University and the Department of History at Istanbul University. He earned his PhD in Islamic Banking from the Banking and Insurance Institute of Marmara University.
Actively engaged in academia, Dr. Yahşi took part in the establishment process of the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance at KTO Karatay University, where he served as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Yahşi began his professional career at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) as an Assistant Sworn Bank Auditor. He has since held senior executive positions in the banking sector. He served as Deputy General Manager at Egebank and held several key roles at Albaraka Türk Participation Bank, including Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and Member of the Board of Directors.
Currently, Dr. Yahşi serves as a board member in various companies operating across different sectors. He is also actively involved in politics as the Deputy Assistant to the Acting Chairman and a Member of the Central Decision and Executive Board of the Adalet ve Kalkınma Parti (AK Parti).

Biography
Dr. Aydın Gündoğdu was born in Mesudiye, a district of Ordu, Türkiye. He completed his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) in 1989 and earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Social Sciences Institute of İTÜ in 1996. He received his PhD in Islamic Economics and International Finance from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (İZU) in 2021.
Dr. Gündoğdu began his banking career at Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank and has extensive experience in the participation finance sector, having served at every level throughout his career. He has held senior executive roles including Head of Department, Group Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and Member of the Board of Directors. His professional experience spans Retail, SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking, as well as Financial Analysis, Rating, Performance Management, Credit Allocation, Audit and Risk Management, Product Development, Organization, and Corporate Communications.
He was part of the team that managed the merger of Anadolu Finans and Family Finans, as well as the sale of Türkiye Finans to National Commercial Bank (NCB) at a record-high multiple (5.6x), making significant contributions to the process. He has developed strong expertise in company valuation, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A).
In addition, he led the development of a new-generation digital participation banking business model and the process of obtaining its establishment license. He also played an active role in the acquisition and restructuring processes of JCR Eurasia Rating. During the regulatory harmonization process of savings finance companies, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee at Eminevim. Across all institutions he has served, he has taken an active role in restructuring and developing the business lines under his responsibility.
He currently serves as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors and a Member of the Audit Committee at JCR Eurasia Rating. He is a founding shareholder and Investment Committee Member of Girişim Kitle Fonlama Platformu A.Ş. (fonangels.com). He is also a founding shareholder, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Investment Committee Member at Fonventure Kitle Fonlama Platformu A.Ş. (fonventure.com).
As an angel investor, he actively supports startups in the areas of financing, regulation, education, and business development. He works towards expanding crowdfunding as a financing model and establishing it as a distinct sector for funding the future of the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. He also lectures at Medipol University as an Assistant Professor, teaching the course “Next-Generation Capital Market Instrument: Crowdfunding.”
Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, he has undertaken various roles in numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Bekir Oturakçı is an entrepreneur and board member operating at the intersection of technology, human resources, education, and investment ecosystems. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Altınbaş University.
Throughout his career, he has focused on artificial intelligence, software development, digital transformation, and technology-driven business models. He is actively involved in projects that aim to generate sustainable value at the intersection of technology and finance.
As one of the founding members of FonVenture Crowdfunding Platform, he contributes to the development of a financial ecosystem that facilitates entrepreneurs’ access to capital and connects investors with innovative business models.
Through his brand Biltekno, which he founded, he provides B2B and e-commerce software solutions to both domestic and international companies. Within ITHR, operating in the field of IT recruitment, he accelerates technical hiring processes through AI-powered platforms and delivers strategic support to the growth of technology companies.
Additionally, under the umbrella of Infotech Academy, he develops innovative training programs in IT and fintech, contributing to the cultivation of qualified human capital, while positioning himself as a solution partner in organizations’ digital transformation processes.

Biography
Faruk Raza is the Founder and Chairman of IFAAS (Islamic Finance Advisory & Assurance Services). Holding an MBA in Strategic Management, Raza possesses extensive and in-depth international experience across various segments of Islamic finance.
Throughout his career, he has advised policymakers in more than 35 countries across four continents and has led Islamic finance projects in over 50 countries. In this capacity, he has played an active role in the development of institutional infrastructures, regulatory frameworks, and the expansion of the Islamic finance industry. He has undertaken key roles in the implementation of pioneering Islamic finance initiatives in several countries, including the United Kingdom and France.
Faruk Raza has also led the IFAAS team on projects funded by international institutions such as the Islamic Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and the UK Government’s Department for International Development. He has contributed to the development of Islamic finance strategic plans, roadmaps, as well as regulatory and governance frameworks for numerous countries, including Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Pakistan, and the Philippines.
He actively contributes to the advancement of the industry through his work and advisory roles in international standard-setting bodies for Islamic finance. He is also among the co-founders of the Islamic fintech solution IFIN.
